What in the world is "steamjunk"?
Humor this poor teenaged girl. Steamjunk would be a combination of the steampunk genre and the Jellicle junkyard from Cats. Think about it: the cats are intelligent and resourceful. They live in a junkyard full of spare parts to build out of. They hate water and would rather find a use of it that doesn't entail getting dunked into the stuff. AND they constantly make references to Queen Victoria. So, steampunk + junk = STEAMJUNK!

Terribly sorry for the weeks-long hiatus. I'm so busy with school that I barely have enough time for anything anymore! A bit of a highlight, though, is that I've been chosen as a delegate for my school's Japanese exchange student program. I'M GOING TO OSAKA! WHOOOO
Art-wise, not much activity has been going on here because I've been concentrating more and more on non-Cats work. THAT DOESN'T MEAN I'M STARTING TO NOT LIKE IT. I love my cats like a lonely middle-aged woman loves hers. Except hers actually exists, and mine are drawn. Eh. I have to start building up a respectable portfolio if I want to ever, EVER, EVER be an inkling decent enough

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!
Not much to say here, except I'm taking the luxury of free time that Christmas break has given me by trying to build up my *gasp* portfolio. Hopefully there will be plenty more arts up by New Year.
Gift-wise, what's YOUR haul? I got lovely, lovely things, exactly what I wanted (uh... the joy of receiving money from relatives? HEE HEE).
Back-to-arts-wise, I've been scouring my sources of inspiration for a better way to paint digitally. Waah, my shading in my older works makes me want to cry!!!
Anyway, this sad entry has gone on for far too long. Merry Christmas again, everyone, and Happy New Year!
